Syntaxin has a unique technology platform, Targeted Secretion Inhibitors (TSI).
These are biologic, rapidly-internalising cell-specific inhibitors of secretion with a long duration of action and protected by a dominant I.P. position and extensive patent estate. The technology is proven in muscle relaxation and analgesia with local administration and provides the opportunity for multiple products across multiple disease areas.
Syntaxin is led by a highly-experienced management team, with extensive knowledge and success in drug R&D. Working in partnership (with Allergan for pain disorders) and internally on Acromegaly and other diseases where secretion is a major driver, Syntaxin is extending the platform into new therapeutic areas such as cancer and hyperplasia.
By 2012, Syntaxin will deliver a value enhanced pipeline with multiple products, achieving proof of concept data in Pain and Acromegaly.
Strategic alliances will extend Syntaxin’s reach into new therapeutic areas and combine Syntaxin’s TSI technology with cell specific targeting technologies for a broad range of systemic and local applications.
